Why choose A&A Safeguarding?

Adrian and Ann have 34 years’ experience between them of working with education settings, advising on best safeguarding practice and training DSLs to keep children safe and promote their welfare.

Adrian has many years’ experience in the child protection field as a frontline social worker and manager with a specialist interest in family assessment and support services.  After leading the development of the CAF process in Warwickshire, Adrian worked as Education Safeguarding Manager from 2012-2020, designing & delivering training and advising & supporting the education sector.

Ann has a background in nursing, health visiting and teaching before setting up the WCC Protective Behaviours based Taking Care Scheme in 1999, supporting schools to develop protective education practice. Many headteachers identify this as a foundation stone of safeguarding practice in their schools. Ann has been co-designing & delivering DSL training since 2003.

We are passionate about working in the education sector to promote a strong culture of safeguarding children in all schools and education settings. We are very keen to continue the work we have undertaken with education providers over many years; promoting safeguarding practice that is based on a commitment to the welfare of every child through training, support and resources that inform, challenge and inspire.

Our approach and training courses go beyond statutory and local authority requirements and processes.  We constantly update them in response to research, statutory guidance, national and local case reviews and developing safeguarding issues and challenges; always seeking to create interactive activities to embed learning.

If you are committed to establishing and maintaining an effective culture of safeguarding in your school or setting, our courses and the ethos underpinning them will provide the knowledge, motivation and confidence that your staff will need.
